“In terms of the history of the brand my family's distilling and brewing links go back 8 generations to the year 1762 when my ancestor Thomas Greenall formed the brewing company of Greenall Whitley.
I was born less than half a mile from the Greenall's family distillery in Warrington. My father was Director of the distillery and the brewery, my Great grandfather was Group Managing Director and my Great Uncle, Group Chairman. Greenall's currently distil Bombay Gin and Bombay Sapphire Gin under licence for Bacardi.
4 years ago, independently, and after much research and experimentation with botanicals at the distillery, I launched Whitley Neill London Dry Gin into the On-Trade in London. Both the trade and consumers reacted extremely well to the brand in terms of looks and flavour profile. It probably makes the finest G&T that you will come across at the moment. “
